Then going back to school could be exactly what you want and need. Whether it’s to take your ITIL certification exam, get a teaching qualification, or even your PhD, do it! It’s time that you took your career to where you really want it to be.
Networking
Next, you may find that you just need to make more connections. A lot of the time, networking and meeting more people can be great for your career. So why not have a go at networking more and see where it takes you. You may find that you can open new doors and have more opportunities when you do this.
Something On The Side
But then also, it could be that you want to do something on the side. Maybe you know that you want to be able to move into a completely different field. Or maybe you do want to create a business for yourself in the future? There’s no reason why you can’t just start that up now. Make sure that you’re focusing on something that will become your future. Evenings and weekends can be the perfect time to dedicate to this and getting something off the ground.
As much as it can seem like you just have to go with the flow, you may start to realize that you have more control over your career than you think. So take charge and enjoy steering your career to where you want it to be.
